RCUI has received good news about the reconstruction of the boys school in the village of Sarokie in Afghanistan. The school’s roof is now in place and general maintenance work has been carried out.

The DHVAAD foundation, which is carrying out the construction activities, has submitted its books to RCUI. These will be revised by RCUI members to confirm that the first 14.000 euro’s donated to this project were correctly spent.

With this DHVAAD moves on to the next step in the project consisting of the construction of an area for sports activities, cementing the floor and walls of the school, the construction of three extra rooms that will be used as toilet and shower room, placing glass in the windows and painting the woodwork. These activities will be financed with the remaining €10.500 of the total sum that was raised during RCUI’s Afghanistan event.
