Tell us a little bit about yourself

I was born in Suriname and came to the Netherlands to study business economics and auditing (Certified Auditor). With my family I lived and worked for 5 years in the Netherlands Antilles, now we live in IJsselstein.

Why did you decide to join Rotary?

I joined Rotary Club International when the club was working on the exhibition ” ik zie ik zie wat jij niet ziet”, a non Dutch view on Dutch habits. The cooperation between the members with different nationalities was amazing.

What I like about the club is diversity in professions, cultures, the equal amount of men and women in the club and the variety of age. The meetings are exciting, activities for a good cause inspiring and there is always something to learn. It’s fun.

Are you active in any committees?

I am secretary and boardmember of the club

Do you have any hobbies?

Swimming, travelling (business and private), concerts and when possible outdoor sports.
