Tell us a little bit about yourself

I’m born to a German mother and English father. I came to Utrecht in 1990 and studied Physics at the university in Utrecht, but afterwards I ended up in IT. And for some reason starting new companies is in my blood, I’ve done it twice already!

Why did you decide to join Rotary?

I enjoy meeting interesting new people, especially international travellers and expats with a multicultural background. Knowing this Sonia introduced me to the Rotrary Club Utrecht International last year. After a couple of meetings I knew I was going to enjoy myself here, so I decided to join.

Are you active in any committees?

Yes, I’m a member of the PR and the recruitment committee. And I try to use my knowledge of online marketing to make us more noticable on the Internet.

Do you have any hobbies?

Playing the clarinet, but I haven’t touched the instrument for quite a few years now. I’ve done some paragliding but my pilot license expired a year ago. But asides from that: I enjoy travelling, scuba diving, driving a motorbike cross-country and starting new companies.
